Soca Queen, Destra Garcia, Announces New TV Show

Destra Garcia, the ‘Queen of Bacchanal’, is coming to a television near you. As Covid-19 continues to put a serious damper on the entertainment circuit, many of our favorite soca stars have been busy finding creative ways to connect with their fans and maintain an online presence. Some have even ventured into diversifying their portfolio, and stepping into new territory like television as Destra Garcia recently announced she will be launching her brand new TV show, ‘The Destra Garcia Show’.

Destra shared that her show have been in the works for some months with the new premier platform for Caribbean content, ‘WESN’- ‘WE’ Entertainment, Sport and News. Although details about what type of show it will be is still unknown presently, Destra shared on social media that it will be live and interactive. The show will be streaming live weekdays at 1pm regionally and internationally on www.wesncc.com and also will be available on some of your favorite cable network and the following channels:

Since the news broke fans and fellow artistes have taken to social media sharing their congratulatory messages and excitement for Destra as they look forward to seeing what she will be bringing to TV land. So will you be tuning in? We surely will be.

However, Destra isn’t the first to make this move as fellow soca queen, Nadia Batson also recently launched her new YouTube talk show, ‘Yellow Cow TV’, which has been doing pretty well online.  The talk show also features co-host/ fellow Sass band member Alysha Alleyne, better known as Miss Alysha alongside the Queen of Sass, and have featured fun appearances from some of your favorite soca stars like Nessa Preppy and Voice.

Speaking of Voice, even the three-time soca monarch king has started his own weekly Instagram live show ‘Vibes with Voicey’ that has both fans and fellow celebrities joining in on the fun.
