Sabrina’s Treehouse Concerts

Written by: Lesandra Scott

An intimate setting for 16 of her fans was what the evening of November 14th, 2020 was like at Sabrina Francis’ Treehouse Concert.

Imagine, driving away from the hustle and bustle of the city with your favorite person, the chatter is doubled with laughter and almost non-stop. Following the pin-dropped location, you climbed farther and farther into unfamiliar territory, and then, after many twists and turns, you have arrived. After finding an easy park, you walked along the red carpet which lead to an impressively softly lit treehouse that offered a laughter-friendly, chatter-heavy atmosphere. So, with fairy lights in bottles, a cheerful environment, Sabrina and her band set up to perform in the middle of the crowd, plus an open bar, you are officially at Sabrina’s Treehouse Concert.

Held once a month, Caribbean Entertainment Hub was delighted to catch Sabrina Francis’ fifth performance and we saw why she grabs the attention of folks both locally and internationally (over 13, 000 Facebook Likes). That night, Sabrina’s set up reflected her wanting to connect with each attendee on a personal level; as a guest, it was as if you were personally being sung to. To achieve this, Sabrina was right there in the room performing but to hear her, one would have to be wearing headphones.

Sabrina performed her original songs like “Nobody Knows”, “Caged Butterfly”, “Knowing” and “Think In Color”. The latter she dedicates to her mother and is also the title track of her first album. Also performed was ‘Duduke’ a collaboration with Nigerian artiste Simi.

Every week till the end of the year Sabrina Francis vows to host a Treehouse concert exclusively for a limited number of patrons. The concerts will continue to be held at Mt. Agnes in St. David parish in Grenada including a Christmas themed one which is slated to be held on December 20th just in time for the holidays!
