News broke recently that Jamaica’s New Reggae Sensation Koffee is reportedly working as a writer for Rihanna long anticipated 9th studio album.
It’s been three years since Rihanna last album release ‘Anti’, but the superstar has been extremely busy building her business empire since the launch of her Fenty Beauty Makeup brand and Savage X Fenty Lingerie collection.

However, last year back in June 2018 during her Vogue interview she confirmed that her next album will be a reggae album and will be releasing in 2019. During an interview with BET recently, Californian Rapper Haiti Babii stated that Rihanna herself confirmed that the rising star Koffee is writing for her via a facetime chat. No one knows for certain if the collaboration will take place on her upcoming album, but there is a high possibility that it will.
Jamaican Reggae Sensation Koffee
If you’re not familiar with the young Reggae singer, we’re sure that you are familiar with her music. Koffee burst onto the scene in 2017 after her first single ‘Legend’, a tribute to Jamaican Record Holder Usian Bolt went viral on Instagram. Since then she released her Rapture EP album which features the hit single ‘Toast’ (now over 41 million views on YouTube) and has performed on stages with Reggae superstars like Chronixx and Protoje, just to name a few.
Rihanna herself is also a big fan of the young singer, as made evident when she posted a video of herself singing along to Koffee’s Toast just last month while attending Buju Banton ‘I am Legend’ concert in Barbados. The news of the collab was well received by her Caribbean fans, especially since they have been long awaiting the songstress to return to her native roots.
We at Caribbean Entertainment Hub are in high anticipation for Rihanna’s new Reggae/ Dancehall album and will be bringing you all the latest updates and information on this project.
