With her feet on the pedal, this mom/rapper/actress keeps moving. Cardi B now has under her belt a lead starring role in the film ‘Assisted Living’, described by the entertainment magazine, Variety, as a ‘raucous comedy’. The naturally funny leading lady will play the character “Amber” who is on the run from the police and her ex-partner. To elude them both, she takes up residence in her grandmother’s nursing home under the guise of a “fellow” senior. Compared to films such as ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ and ‘Driving Miss Daisy’ many are certain that with Cardi in her element, the film will be a hilariously entertaining and attention-holding success.
Though being honest, this isn’t the rapper’s first run in front of the camera, oh no. As recently as 2019, Cardi B alongside Lizzo, Keke Palmer, and Jennifer Lopez acted in the blockbuster film, Hustlers. Cardi B was also a judge on the Netflix shown ‘Rhythm & Flow’, where she sat alongside fellow judges T.I and Chance the Rapper. Also to note, is her role on the wildly known ‘Love & Hip-Hop’ show, which boosted her career and recognition tenfold.
