Caleb Hart is an award-winning talented musician, powerful vocalist, witty lyricist and natural-born performer. Hailing from the beautiful island of Tobago, his music is an artistic breath of fresh air; a unique blend of Caribbean music sprinkled with elements of hip hop and R&B.
From realizing his love for music at the tender age of four to becoming the successful lead singer of the band Tasman Jude and now solo artist, Caleb has performed in almost 900 shows over the past seven years in countries such as Canada, USA, Europe, Africa, Australia, and the Caribbean, just to name a few.
Winning multiple awards, such as the FMC Awards- ‘Male Vocalist of the Year’ (2014), Akademia Award- ‘Best Reggae song’ (2014) ‘Family’, Edmonton Folk Festival- ‘Emerging Artist of the Year’ (2016 ), WMCA- ‘World Artist of the Year’ (2016) and many more, his band also became the first ever band to pass Bob Marley’s ‘Legend’ for the #1 spot on Canada’s iTunes Reggae charts with their album ‘Green’ as reported in Calgary Herald.com
Caribbean Entertainment Hub recently attended Caleb Hart 6th album (entitled 11) release featuring Track7 music on Saturday 27th April at the popular creative hub Kaiso Blues Café in Trinidad. In an unorthodox approach to this fun-filled night, Caleb performed as both the opening and closing act, while cleverly blending in his musical surprises throughout the night. His fans, ‘fam’ as he affectionately calls them, were also treated to a charismatic mixture of music and comedy as Caleb had them laughing throughout the show.
The night featured an incredible lineup of local stars which highlighted the diversity that exists in Trinidad and Tobago music. Artistes who graced the stage included: Solman Music and Nex Chapta who both recently performed at the New Fire Festival alongside Caleb Hart; Isaac Rudder, the son of calypso legend David Rudder; Marge Blackman, the Folk-Rock songstress and daughter of the late great Ras Shorty I; Tobagonian Hip-Hop Soul artiste Xavier Edwardz ; and the powerful vocalist Kevern Carter who also hails from Tobago.
The ‘11’ album which features the hit singles ‘Empress’, ‘Trust Me’ and many others are now available on all streaming sites. With his tour officially kicked off in his homeland, “we don’t really know what going to happen, but Trust We”; this is a musical masterpiece.
