Incarcerated dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel wears his heart on his sleeves in his new single Cast Iron Heart featuring Jada Kingdom. The single is one of ten tracks on the deejays new album titled To Tanesha.
The Single speaks to Vybz Kartels spilt with his Common law wife Tanesha ‘Shorty’ Johnson ; the two were together for almost two decades. Cast Iron Heart portrays how the weight of a breakup is uneven with Jada Kingdom plays the love interest who lacks interest in a committed union while Vybz Kartel is love-struck.
The single which was released on music streaming site YouTube on January 9, 2020, is currently number three on trending. The single has over 651,000 views after only a week since its premiere. The album, To Tanesha, is co-produced by Short Boss Muzik and Vybz Kartel Muzik, with engineering done by Ricardo “RedBoomSupaMix” Reid.
In ‘To Tanesha’, Vybz Kartel seems to be starting off the new decade by showing his fan a softer more personal side to his music and fans are seemingly behind it. Here are some of the comments on his YouTube channel in response to tracks on the album:
