‘There is no one in the world outside of God who loves my son more than me’, says Rebel Sixx mom.

In a video that has been circulating on Facebook (see full video here), Rebel Sixx mother pleads for persons to not retaliate or seek vengeance after the brutal shooting of Trinidadian Dancehall Artiste, Kyle George, who was popularly known as ‘Rebel Sixx’.

Rebel Sixx was well known for his popular hits such as ‘Rifle War’, ‘Fully Dunce’ and ‘Squeeze’, and was reportedly a member of the Jamaican Dancehall crew known as ‘6ix’.

According to police reports, on Sunday 5^th July around 11.45pm, Rebel was at his Viceroy Crescent, Bon Air Gardens, Arouca home. The 26 year old artiste was playing video games  in his living room with the front door open when two men entered the house and shot him several times. He was taken to the Arima Health Facility, where he was pronounced dead on arrival around 12.35 am. Police said the killing was gang related and they are continuing their investigations further.

This shocking news comes less than one month after the local Dancehall fraternity was left mourning the loss of another popular Trinidadian dancehall artiste and very close friend of Rebel, K-lion who died on June 10^th 2020 due to medical complications while staying in Miami, Florida.

Despite having differences with Rebel Sixx’s in the past, Trinidad Dancehall Artiste, Prince Swanny shared this in a post on his Instagram after news broke of the murder:

‘We grew up together, we saw things differently, never wished bad or death on you we had one mission to make it out the streets and show the world our talent we did it!!! People have the world of negative things to say no one knows what we really feel, it’s sad when a man sees his wrongs and try to correct them and instead of support they try to bring us down. Who feels it knows it!! FLY HIGH KING????? @real_rebel_sixx ? ‘
