World renowned Soca legend and the Queen of Soca, Alison Hinds is on the move once again.
According to an article in TNT Newsday publication dated Friday, December 1st, 2017, Hinds was back in Trinidad and Tobago working on her latest up-coming releases, including one with a secret featured Artiste, with a release date set for the near future.
In an interview with Newsday’s’ Joshua Surtees, Alison spoke in detail about herself, her music and her career at present. Notedly was her everlasting presence on the Soca world stage, having been on tour all of 2017, and moving into 2018 with no slowing down in sight. Hinds is set to make appearances at different events whilst in T & T including World Cricket Legend and Trinidadian native, Sir Brian Lara’s birthday party, Caesar’s Army, Fantasy and Tribe.
The confidently sexy 47 years young Soca Titan spoke about her shyness as a child growing up in London in her early years. She mentioned that although it was still a part of who she is, she hasn’t let it stop her from commanding the big stage. Alison, still a chart topper who is adored by her fan base, has honored both by her place of birth England, as well as her home, Barbados and hence she wears tattoos of each countries’ respective flags on each wrist.
Alison is also the mother of a 13-year-old daughter, who has benefited from having a fully engaged mum who fits family and a prestigious career into one balanced life style.
Her message to her fans this time around is to be “more social and less media” and she wants persons to come out to the fetes to fete and not just to take photos for Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat.
Let’s hope her words reach them.
