With a star- studded cast that included Soca and Dancehall artistes both local and regional, spectators were treated to a Caribbean country-hopping live tour of some of their favorite acts while attending, newly crowned Princess of Soca Nailah Blackman 2nd annual Sokah Origins concert on Saturday 8th December at the Brian Lara Stadium carpark.

Antigua’s Ricardo Drue and St. Vincent’s Problem Child were amongst a huge soca cast which also included Trinidad’s popular stars like Voice, Olatunji and many more. Soca diva Patrice Roberts were one of the main highlights of the night performing many of her 2019 carnival hits.

Homage was paid to Jamaican Reggae and Dancehall artiste Buju Banton, who was recently released from prison as the DJ played some of his classic hits while the crowd sang along word for word. Dancehall princess Shenseea even paid her respects later on in the night during her performance.

Nailah later entered the stage with the crowd cheering her name, dressed in a sexy black and gold ensemble kicking off her performance. She took us back to her roots performing live with her guitar, before delivering a fun and energetic performance with her band and dancers, singing some of hits like ‘Sokah’, ‘Baila Mami’ and even premiering a new song ‘Games’, before bringing Kes to the stage to perform ‘Workout’.
