Chinsea Lee, a Jamaican female Dancehall artist with professionalism and consistency, has proven to be worthy of the International limelight. Known to us as Shenseea, she has been expeditiously blowing up the Dancehall and Soca scene with her lyrics since her debut single “Jiggle”, which has continued to receive glowing reviews.
I’ve personally watched the growth of Shenseea over the years progressing from doing corporate promotional jingles to now a budding International Dancehall artiste. She’s a young lady with a hardcore mentality and positive energies that will make you love her. She is a combination of talent and beauty with a unique tone that compliments the hardcore rhythms of Dancehall and Soca. When I analysed the lyrics of her hit song “Loodi” featuring the artiste: Vybes Kartel, I find it amazing how she uses literary contrast in the phrase “Battyjaw just a Bounce, like Bounce Cheque” to make a comparison of the female anatomy with monetary transactions. This song is also delightfully composed to fit the selected melodies of her liking; it shows her true talent as a writer.
I got the opportunity to meet with her for a short moment while she was rushing for an interview at Zip103fm, a popular radio station in Jamaica, and I must say she was looking fine as wine. She had no comments on upcoming project but later in week she announced on social media about her live performance to be aired on BET Live hosted in Los Angeles, California.
Shenseea is one of those artiste that if she did a collaboration with you, you are bound to get a hit song. This artist has had her fair share of public bashing and dislikes but with her driven optimism, she uses it to steer her clear to the path of success. Managed under the guidance of Romeich Entertainment she is definitely in good hands as the first female artist sign to the label. The union for both parties seem to be in perfect harmony and we can only expect greater things to come…MUSICALLY. My only advice to Shenseea, …work on your live performances and you will be PERFECT.
