Trinidad and Tobago’s Olatunji Yearwood continues his quest for the X Factor 2018 in Los Angeles today, October 14th 2018. Last week he earned the first seat on the show’s Six Chair Challenge, wowing the judges and audience with his performance of Lou Bega’s Mambo Number Five. Now with the other contestants who have made it thus far, Olatunji will perform in the Judges Houses tonight.

At this stage of the competition only the mentor of your group can give you a pass, and indeed he was given a pass when his mentor, Judge Adya, smilingly asked him to take the first seat after his performance.

Thus far, Olatunji has earned admiration from all the judges especial his category mentor Judge Adya Fields-Williams and even the show’s creator, Judge Simon Cowell, who when commenting on Olatunji’s Mambo Number Five performance said, “I think this competition needs people like you. If it was me, there would be no hesitation, you would be taking one of those chairs”.

Via his Instagram account, Olatunji has promised his ardent supporters to “give them the moves” tonight, referring to the judges as he tries to book his place in the finals of the show. He has also thanked his team for their effortless support, as well as Caribbean Men’s wear brand (designer) Ecliff Elie for supporting him without hesitation from the beginning.

Olatunji says it’s his dream to make SOCA a mainstream genre. We at Caribbean Entertainment Hub fully supports Olatunji in making this dream a reality.
