New Romantic Reggae For Valentine

Written by: Lesandra Scott

In this edition of our monthly ‘New Reggae Releases’, we bring you reggae music to enjoy between the sheets. Valentine is for lovers and romance, so this selection features songs from some of Jamaica’s finest talent adding that special feel to romance as only reggae can.

We start the list with ‘Silver Tongue Devil’. This song is a musical dance between two of Jamaica’s young talented artists.  The sensual, yet groovy beat stars dancehall queen, Shenseea, as the love interest of the Jazz loving, saxophone playing, Masego.  The Kingston natives stayed true to both of their acts as we saw Shenseea singing bars in that raspy, deep voice that she so easily fluctuates between fine notes and hearty ones. Alongside her, Masego with his charm, mystery,  saxophone playing skills, threw captivated looks at the ShenYeng don.

Another track that needs singling out is Sevana’s ‘Set Me On Fire’. One can literally feel the pain and the burn in her soul as she goes through the lyrics of the song. The visual is worth seeing.
