CEH April 2022 New Reggae Releases Spotlights Oxygen – ‘I Care about You’

Written by: David Lawrence

Must admit that we missed this one when it was released for Valentine’s day back in February of this year; but better late than never. In this track, four of the best romantic male voices in reggae came together under the umbrella of “Oxygen” and produce a masterful rendition of “I care about you” that rivals the original classic by Milestone. Yes, the foursome of Christopher Martin, Romain Virgo, Busy Signal & D Major none of whom need any introduction have demonstrated that Jamaican singers can hold their own against the best of R&B.

The comments on Youtube say it all:

Melecia Llewellyn “You guys turned a classic into a hit twice! Wonderful collaboration!”

Latoya Anderson – “I’m in love with this version 🔥🔥🔥 Big up Chris, Romain, Busy & D Major ❤❤❤️”

tanya stennett-cummingsWow! Such a great come back for this classic song. It’s like a breathe of fresh air, when compared to some of the songs been produced these days. Love it! 👍❤🇯🇲❤

Susan Nelson Smith -“This one gave me goose bumps. Four of my favourite artistes. I can’t even say which one I love the most as you each brought your flavour to this collaboration. God!!! I love it!!”

KB Musik Marketing – “When great musicians, vocalists and singers come together beautiful things like this happen. This was one of my favourite singles from the soul food soundtrack and I’m sure Milestone will be proud and honoured to hear this masterpiece.”

Another track in our playlist to pay attention to is Richie Spice’s “Distance”. The lyrics and Richie’s deliverance can grow on you and will surely become a favorite.
