CEH April 2021 New Soca Releases: Spotlights Barbados ‘Jus D’

Can we all agree with Bajan singer, songwriter, and producer ‘Jus D’ that it’s really been a long time since we’ve experienced our culture and soca music in a physical environment?

Reminiscing in his latest release ‘Longtime’, Jus D is surely giving us a serious dose of Carnival tabanca as we spotlight him this month in our April 2021 New Soca releases. No stranger when it comes to those infectious and well-loved soca hits and fusions, Antonio Johnson, who goes by the stage name ‘Jus D’, has been staying quite consistent with those new releases.

To date, some of his hit releases that have been creating some musical waves throughout the Caribbean and internationally includes ‘Manager’, ‘So What’, ‘Na Na Ni’, ‘Only thing She Knows’, ‘Hole’, ‘Where I’m From’ and more. In addition to his hit singles, he has also written music for some of the Caribbean’s big names, with credits such as Shaggy, Machel Montano, Busy Signal, Rupee, and Teddyson John, making the list. So if by now you aren’t familiar with the Bajan star, well it’s time you get familiar because he is well on his way to doing some big things musically.
