Musical chairs in Caribbean top 10 music charts

Written by: David Lawrence

Our Caribbean top 10 music charts appear to be playing musical chairs these past few weeks. In each of the charts the songs have been switching positions in a random manner with each weekly go around. Only at the top of the charts are some form of consistency displayed. In the body of each chart, some songs appears to be ascending one week only to abruptly descend the following week and vice versa. However, in this week’s Soca/Afrobeat chart, Machel Montano with “Doh Play Dat” finally dethroned Lil Nattty Thunda hit song “top Striker”. While in the Dancehall/Reggae chart, Tarrus Riley retained the top positions with “Graveyard” for the second consecutive week.

Both the Soca/Afrobeat and Dancehall/Reggae compilations are taken from Caribbeanfever.com. These are ” from charts all over the world, song that you party to in the night club, and download and stream from the internet”.
