Written by: Lesandra Scott

Jaz Elise is now a member of reggae superstar Proteje’s label, ‘In.Digg.Nation Collective’. The exclusive label is in partnership with RCA Records and has as assignees reggae new sensations Lila Ike`, Sevana, and Naomi Cowan. Jaz Elise is the fourth artiste selected by Proteje to sign to his label.

Jaz Elise, who was born Jasmine Taylor and hails from Kingston Jamaica, is a multi-talent artist. From an early age of five, she was already an accomplished singer, dancer, and actress; her acting can be seen in a film she starred in called Capture Land. Her latest single ‘Fresh and Clean’, though released a year ago, was  re-released under ‘In. Digg. Nation Collective’ label. However, this time it features Govana who’s known for his part on Koffee’s ‘Rapture remix’. According to Elise: “The song is about working towards your dreams and allowing yourself to be free, unapologetic, and grateful. Go to your full potential and be your happiest self.”

In the video for the song, cameos can be seen of Dancehall Artiste Chi Ching Ching, J.L.L who is a producer, Shama the Superman who is a professional surfer and skateboarder, and of course, Protoje
himself.
