Meet the young and vivacious singer/ songwriter who’s taking us back to life with her brand new hit soulful dance single ‘D.G.C’ (Don’t Get Comfortable).
Noelle Kay hails from the Bronx, New York and comes from a Trinidadian heritage. Her musical talents seems only natural as she grew up in a family with a strong musical background with her father a musician; and her uncle, Grammy award nominated rapper and Love & Hip Hop reality TV star, Peter Gunz.
Noelle Kay got her start in music, acting, and the arts at the Talented and Gifted School for young scholars (T.A.G). She also attended Manhattan East for Arts & Academics performing in various talent competitions and plays. Like Nicki Minaj, she later attended the prestigious LaGuardia High School for Performing Arts as a drama major where she explored her musical theatre’s vocal talents. She was also a member of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club’s K Company performing arts program, where she was vocally trained by famous vocal trainer, Frank Louis Pisani.
Her musical inspirations comes from singers such as Gladys Knight, Faith Evans, Brandy, Aaliyah, Usher, S.Z.A., Rihanna, Teyana Taylor and more. In 2018, Noelle released her first EP album titled, ‘Wednesday’ which featured a compilation of her most popular #NoelleKayWednesday freestyles. To date some of her popular releases includes ‘We Gone Ride’, ‘Take You Now’ and her brand new release ‘D.G.C’, which is an EDM/90’s inspired fist-pumping summer anthem that will surely have you dancing non-stop.
In the music video, Noelle is serving us some serious black girl magic as she is seen in the visuals showing off her sexy curves and sultry vocals in Brooklyn, while dancing and singing as she captures the city’s picturesque scenery. Check it out below and enjoy!
If you’re a lover of House Music fused with Hip-Hop and R&B, then this is the jam for you. We think everyone can appreciate this up-tempo track especially given the current state of things globally. The single was also inspired by the 90’s star Soul II Souls hot ‘Back to Life’ hit single. To stay updated with this talented and versatile songstress, be sure to follow Noelle Kay on Instagram here.
