Trinidadian well-loved and respected Media Personality, Richard Trumpet is returning to his first love music in his brand new reggae release ‘Then Came You’ featured on the ‘Blessed Love Riddim’. In an unconventional musical love letter, Richard dedicates this song to 13-year-old daughter Jada-Marie Trumpet, who can also be heard singing along on the track.
Chatting recently in ‘The E-Hub’, Caribbean Entertainment Hub’s brand new brand Instagram Weekly Live series, Richard talked about his musical journey and how it led to him getting into media, his soon to be released EP album, what it was like recording with his daughter in studio and so much more. ‘Then Came You’ was produced by Gideon Bishop and is the second official single off Richard’s upcoming EP album ‘I Do’. And a little fun fact for you guys- Did you know that this song was written 13 years ago, just two days after his daughter was born. Yes, good music surely doesn’t have an expiry date!
