Machel Montano is keeping love alive with the release of his latest album ‘The Wedding’.
Trusting in the unknown, Machel stepped out of his mind and into his heart to create a musical love letter to his wife that he is sharing with the world. The album is dedicated to his wife, Renee, and celebrates the wonderful union that they share physically, spiritually, and culturally; just off the heels of their one-year marriage anniversary which took place on February 14th, 2020 (Valentine’s Day).

The King of Soca is giving us all a different taste of Machel in his latest project. While many are still dealing with the adverse effect of the Covid-19 almost one year later, Machel is reminding of the true power of love and unity in his new album which is officially available on all streaming platforms from today, Friday 19th March 2021.
The Wedding Album gives listeners a melodic collection of slow grooves fused with soca, dancehall, afrobeat, and more simply for their listening pleasure. Executive produced by Machel Mantano and Che Kothari; the album also features a star-studded cast including Teddy Riley, Afro B, Vybz Kartel, Lu City, Stacy Barthe, DJ Tunez, Voice, Hey Choppi, and more. Even the Queen herself, Grammy Award-winning singer Lauryn Hill makes a special surprise appearance on the album, where she is featured on one of the two interludes reciting a poem titled ‘One Love’.
