Thanks to his work on ‘Sometime’,  the 2019 Crop Over  Tune of the Crop, Barbadian musician, producer and promoter, Jus Jay, is well on his way to becoming a soca superstar.

While the song was superbly sang by fellow Barbadian artiste, Leadpipe, Jus Jay was the producer behind the scenes who made an immense contribution to its winning the ‘Road March’.

“I am the producer of the record. I was responsible for recording the vocals, a small portion of the writing and of course the composing of the music. I also handle and strategize all of the marketing behind this record, design all of the artwork and animate all of the videos associated with this song, get it in all of the radio stations and DJs playlists,” Jus Jay noted.

With over a decade of musical experience, it is no surprise that his work has recorded over 600, 000 views on Youtube.

Speaking of his unique musical style, Jus Jay said, “I love fusing music genres, making different sounds, never following the ‘Norm’ and always go for world sounds.”

While he is truly a musical genius, there is much more than meets the eye. He is also an incredibly successful event promoter in Barbados. “I’m one of the promoters for 3 successful events Oh Ship, Lost in Paradise & Lifted … seeing those events come off successfully for another year is always a great thing for me as an event promoter in Crop Over,” he shared.

There is still more to come for Jus Jay. He has entered the 2019 Red Bull 3Style Competition. In 2018, he made it to the finals so he is once again expecting great success this time around.

When asked what we should expect in the future, Jus Jay energetically said, “More music, more good vibes, more great events … find me around the world representing Barbados!”
