In case you haven’t been paying attention to the moves of the Unruly Boss lately, we at Caribbean Entertainment Hub have got you covered!  Popcaan, who started off as Vybz Kartel’s protégé, has been dominating the headlines lately while making head-turning strides which includes a couple of money moves.   From music to clothing, he’s letting us know that he’s Relevant. Starting you off on this catch-up session of the St. Thomas native’s latest moves, we’ll be focusing on the music side of things which includes Poppy linking up with reggae singer, Beres Hammond, and Nigerian artiste, Bella Shmurda.

Loved by many, Popcaan and Beres Hammond are no strangers when it comes to collaborating together.  The duo in March released “God Is Love”, and five months later, on August 27th, we see them come together once more for “A Mother’s Love”.  On that same day, Popcaan also released a song, “So Cold”, with Bella Shmurda. These two songs effortlessly showcased the versatility of Pocaan who not only secures the bag in music but in other creative lanes.

Switching gears straight into the halls of fashion; Popcaan got himself a collaboration with Amsterdam-based ready-to-wear fashion pillar, ‘Daily Paper’.  The Unruly x Daily Paper collaboration features t-shirts, jackets, joggers, hoodies, and a mask which happens to be his favorite! On confirming that the black headgear is his favorite, which sports the word “Unruly” and green and yellow flames, the 876GUD said, “The mask because I love bikes, I’ve got a lot of bikes at home so it’s like, when I look on that whole suit, it’s like I’m ready to touch the road and bike instant but I know I’m jumping in my truck in that suit as well because you can pull up anywhere in it.” From September 2nd, it has been made available in the Unruly Shop and in all of Daily Paper’s flagship stores as well as on their website.

The fashion capsule according to Daily Paper seeks to celebrate Jamaican culture and heritage.

Born Andre Sutherland, Popcaan currently has his hands in the beverage department, specifically on two drinks.  First up is the more relaxing of the two, his CBD tea, “Unruly Cannabis Immune Tea” or “Unruly Tea”. Right up his alley, in partnership with Nassential Lrd, he’s produced a cannabis-infused tea – though the twist is, as it contains CBD, it doesn’t get you high. The second drink he has his hand on is AU Vodka.  The ultra-premium British Vodka company recently announced it is heading to Jamaica soon.  This announcement was made with Popcaan seated taking a shot of their award-winning beverage. His Instagram post’s caption read: “AU Vodka 4warding soon!!”

With over a decade in music and under the guiding eyes of Vybz Kartel, Popcaan has become a household name.  His collaborations have allowed him to set foot in multiple genres and he’s produced music alongside artistes such as Japanese dancehall artiste, Triga Finga, Nigerian producer/artiste Davido, Ghanain artiste Samini and even the Gorillaz. Currently, he’s working on his next album.
