It’s an epic Guyana, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago musical link-up! The history-making remix ‘Dah Whine Deh’ which features Guyana Dancehall Artiste Negus, Jamaica Superstar Konshens, and Trinidad Chutney Star Ravi B is officially out now and available on all streaming platforms.
So how exactly did this Remix come to be?
Alwin Nurse, who goes by the sobriquet ‘Negus’, a Guyanese Dancehall/ Reggae Singer, Songwriter, and Producer well-known for his lyrical versatility and innovative style of music, originally released the sing alongside Konshens in 2013. However, years later as faith will have it he decided to revisit the project and approached Rishi Mahato of Maha Productions to give the track a modernized Dancehall/ Soca vibe. The project soon took on a life of its own and Ravi B was later added to the track bringing that unique Chutney soca Flavor.
Today, ‘Dah Wine Deh’ is making history as the first official Dancehall song to be featured in Dolby Atmos. It is featured on the first-ever Caribbean music album mixed in Dolby Atmos Audio. In October this year, Maha Productions unveiled the first-ever Dolby Atmos Recording Studio in the Caribbean and has since released a (9) track EP album called ‘Island Stories’ which is officially out now and available on all major streaming platforms. Take a listen below and Enjoy!
Negus who currently resides in Canada, to date, worked with some of your industry favorites when it comes to artistes and producers, such as Konshens, Tommy Lee Sparta, Sikka Rymes Chronic Law, TJ Records, Marcus Records, YGF Records, and more. He is also the owner Madd Art Tattoo and Street Platinium Records in Toronto, Ontario.
