Guyana’s riveting performance at the Dubai expo pulled on the proverbial heartstrings of many Guyanese both locally and in the diaspora eliciting feelings of patriotism and national pride. Since videos of the presentation made their way to social media there has been an outpouring of love and support for what is being labeled an awe-Inspiring stroke of genius. The Guyanese contingent featured some of the most prominent names in the industry and a vastly diverse mix of talent including dance, music, poetry, and visual arts. The diverse talent on display paid direct homage to the cultural diversity that characterizes Guyana.

The presentation was brought together by the poetic narrations of Ms. Daniela Araujo compelling the audience to make that journey both figuratively and literally to the shores of Guyana. Everything from the rich patriotic colourful and diverse costumes to the overall ambiance of the setting will definitely be imprinted on the minds of all Guyanese for a very long time. The brilliant musical presentations featuring Guyana’s own Patriotic rock Star Gavin Mendonca, Poonam Singh, Samuael Medas, and Nekeita enthralled the audience with their share musical brilliance. Accentuated by stunningly choreographed dance troop and set to a patriotically themed backdrop featuring the creation of live art.
