Former Caribbean Beauty Award Hairstylist Of The Year Launches Her Brand To The world

Written by: Overtime Media

Winner of the 2019 Caribbean Beauty Award for Hairstylist of the Year, Stacy Small, otherwise known as Ms. Madam Slay is a certified Cosmetologist and founder and owner of Madam Slay Hair Clinique and Spa. Born and raised in a small village called Farm on the East Bank of the Essequibo in Guyana, Stacy Small embraced her passion for hair care and ventured to Barbados, Brazil, and Trinidad and Tobago to share her life-changing hair techniques, knowledge, expertise and also to learn and hone new skills in the process.

From mastering the art of Brazilian knots in Brazil to mentoring upcoming, young hairstylists in Guyana, Madam Slay has a wealth of experience under her belt. Rooted alongside her drive and determination is her motivation to ensure that “every client leaves looking and feeling their absolute best and as the most confident version of themselves”. She also aims to make her clients more knowledgeable about their hair types, styling techniques, and how to maintain their treatments at home.

Miraculously, during the time where COVID-19 and its implications attempt to take the world by storm, Madam Slay was blessed with the opportunity to expand her services in the form of her very own professional product line. In May 2021, she launched her own line of Madam Slay hair care products ranging from Hair Growth Treatments, Keratin and Hair Botox. These advanced professional treatments are unisex and for all hair types. The formula was created to treat common issues like hair loss, dryness, and thinning and this natural-based line can give immediate and long-lasting results to users of the products.

To add to her product portfolio, Stacy is launching yet another line of haircare products this year, but this time it’s an exclusive line of professional haircare tools. These will include top-notch, professional-quality blow dryers and hair straighteners. Scheduled to launch in December under the ‘Noble Gold’ brand, these professional hair styling tools will be distributed and made available in Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Canada, United States, Antigua, and the United Kingdom with the aim of having the Madam Slay product line and tools exclusively available in salons and spas across the Western Hemisphere in due course.

Small also plans to open her own beauty school and expand her brand to other parts of the world, while putting the Caribbean on the map alongside top-tier brands for quality and premium standards. She remains thankful to God, grateful to and for her clients and “committed to appreciating the beautiful journey” she is on in building her legacy – which she says “has only just begun and continues to take her passion and creativity to new heights!”

Stacy’s journey can be followed on Instagram @madamslayhairclinique where she posts hair care tips, styling techniques, protective styles and where you can see her exceptional before-and-after posts of her clients’ hair transformations.
