Festive Fridays in Barbados took center stage last week when it welcomed international soca sensation, Machel Montano to its cultural showcase. The weekly event is held during the Crop Over season in the picturesque Pelican Village of Bridgetown and plays host to many local craft persons and entertainers who come together to enjoy the festival season.
Last week was also the official launch to the Caribbean Identity Crop Over campaign, which is a collaborative effort supported by Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc (BTMI), the National Cultural Foundation (NCF) and Caribbean Airlines Ltd (CAL), for the 2019 Crop Over season.

Machel Montano, who is a brand ambassador for Caribbean Airlines Ltd joined in the weekend party this year, and was ably supported by his fellow Bajan Soca stars such as Peter Ram, Lil Rick and Marvay.
