The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2021 officially kicks off on Thursday 26th August 2021, with the defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders facing off with the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the opening match.

With all the excitement and anticipation in the air for the biggest party in sports, this year’s tournament, however, will be met with some new changes to its original format. One major change is that all 33 games will be played at Warner Park in St Kitts and Nevis as confirmed by the Cricket West Indies (CWI).

All seven teams -Trinbago Knight Riders, Jamaica Tallawahs, Guyana Amazon Warriors, Barbados Tridents, St Lucia Zouks, and St Kitts and Patriots are amped and ready for this year’s tournament which is scheduled to take place between August 26th and September 15th, 2021. Although it was initially scheduled to start on August 28th and end on September 19th. But that changed after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) began talks with CWI and the CPL, immediately after it identified the September-October window for wrapping up the remainder of the postponed 2021 IPL.
