Chutney Soca Monarch (CSM) 2020 Finals saw a total of twenty-four (24) contestants competing for a chance at the winning title. With massive stage props, dancers, theatrics, high energy and numerous surprises being witnessed throughout the night, the rivalry was definitely on.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the NLCB & Ministry of Community Development, Culture and the Arts sponsored event, which was hosted by Southex promotions took place on Saturday 8th February at the Guaracara Park, Point-a-Pierre. This year’s change in venue came as a result of the historical landmark Skinner Park, San Fernando being under extensive renovations. This however, didn’t stop patrons who turned out in their numbers to share in the night’s competition and celebrations amidst the periodic rainfalls through the night.
In a spectacular winning theatrical stage presentation of his mega Chutney soca hit ‘Anna, Anna’, GI Beharry earned the judge’s and crowd’s approval. We at Caribbean Entertainment Hub will like to congratulate GI on his winning the 2020 Chutney Soca Monarch title.
