Written by: David Lawrence

Farmer Nappy has won the ‘Online Soca Monarch’ with a prize of $100,000. For Darryl ‘Farmer Nappy’ Henry this victory proves that his monster 2021 hit, ‘Backyard jam’, having also won The Monarch (replacing the International Soca Monarch), is the most popular song of the season.

The Inaugural Online Soca Monarch was sponsored by bmobile/TUCO and give soca lovers globally the ability to vote for their favorite song via text.

On his Facebook page, Famer Nappy stated:

“Thank you Lord.

For over 40 years I have been dreaming of this moment. @machelmontano and I spoke about it so many times and for all that time I stood by in support of my brother as he achieved what we dreamed and worked so hard to do from the start. He brought the dream home first but I learned from his accomplishments took his advice and waited my turn.

In the many years of highs and lows, music never failed me, my fans never failed me, my family, the Montanos and my management never failed me, my producers never failed me, and most importantly the Lord never failed me and they all are the reason why I am here today.”

Caribbean Entertainment Hub congratulates Farmer nappy on his double victory.
